About Us
We are a family run veterinary surgery based in Altrincham (South Manchester in England). We're committed to providing our clients with the best service possible, with over 26 years of veterinary experience.

24 hour Service
Routine and emergency cases are treated at our premises during normal opening hours from 9.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 11.00am on Saturday. In addition, we usually provide emergency care at the surgery until 10.00pm Monday to Thursday. At all other times, we utilise the services of the Petmedics Emergency Clinic in Worsley, who supply most of the Manchester area and employ vets just for this out of hours service.

Home Visits
Although facilities for treatment of pets is better at the surgery, where we have a full range of medication and equipment, we understand that sometimes it is necessary or appropriate to visit your pet in your own home and we are happy to do so by arrangement. There is an additional charge for this service.

Weight clinics
Vicky Yates our head nurse is available to advise in special slimming clinics on various diets and regimes for pets carrying extra pounds. This is a FREE advice service.

Behavioural Counselling
We are lucky to have the services of Debbie Hodgkiss, our former nurse, a fully trained Pet Behaviour Counsellor to help with advice on numerous problems from spraying in cats to aggression in dogs. Debbie is a qualified Bach flower remedy counsellor and dispenser. Bach flower remedies can alleviate many behavioural symptoms without the need for regular drug therapies.

Microchip identification
Our microchip Tracer relies on the most up to date electronic technology to provide a permanent means of identification of your pet should it stray or become lost or stolen. The tiny microchip is injected under the loose skin of the neck during a normal consultation and the tracer reads the unique code. A national database can then identify the animal and its owner 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Early morning surgery time
By special arrangement we can offer early consultations when necessary, as we realise that it is not always possible for people to attend our normal consulting hours.
