Mr and Mrs Hanson
BSc. B.Vet.Med. MRCVS
Qualified in 1976 and have been running Thorn Lea Veterinary Practice since 1982. Mrs Hanson is now our Practice manager having taken time out to raise their family of four children. Apart from working hard in the practice Mr Hanson is a very keen golfer and a past Captain of Heyrose Golf Club, where amongst other things he continues to organise charity events and enjoys travelling, with a few rounds of golf!
 
Iain Mottram
B.V.M&S MRCVS
Regularly mistaken as Mr Hanson's son, qualified from Edinburgh in 1994, worked for three years in South Wales and joined the Thornlea practice in 1997. He enjoys Scottish dancing, globe trekking and is a member of the Altrincham Choral society. He has a 15 year-old collie that is frightened of sheep!
Iain has a bouncing toddler called Juan who was born in December 2006.
 
Claire Hanson Claire Hanson
Qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2004 after six years of studying. She enjoys badminton and the odd round of golf. She is a valuable addition to the team especially for her medical skills and is providing the practice with 'new blood' to further our level of care and commitment.
 
Vicky Yates our qualified head nurse is a workaholic, walkaholic and has been at the practice for 14 years, qualifying in 1996. She has worked her way to red stripe in taekwondo and enjoys taking her dog for extremely long walks. Vicky Yates
 
Amy Shawcross Amy Shawcrossis our newest member of the team. She started in July 2008 and has begun her first year of nursing. She enjoys reading, going out and looking after her 5 cats with various ailments!
 
Julie Thorpe has been at the practice since July 2001 and is one of our qualified nurses. She has a daughter who was born in February 2006 who wants to be a vet like Mr Hanson already! Julie also owns a cat and a dog. Julie Thorpe
 
Hannah Lowe Hannah Lowe has been here since November 2004 and has since become another of our qualified nurses. Hannah owns a rabbit & cat which, like Vicky's cat was hand reared by all of us until she pursuaded her better half to keep him. When not working or sleeping Hannah enjoys going to gigs.

Character: An absolute nutter! Harvey has so much energy he doesn't know what to do with it, he'll go on a 6 mile run and still keep going. When he does stop moving though he is a very affectionate little thing. His hobbies include collecting socks and standing in ponds.
